Staff Appreciation - Friday, December 22

Show your appreciation to Broadview Staff by bringing baked goods to the main school doors on Friday December 22 for Broadview Staff Appreciation Day! This is a monthly initiative for the parent community to show their appreciation for Broadview Staff. School Council will share sign-up sheets for contributions every month until the end of the school year. Staff Appreciation usually takes place on the last Friday of the month. A shout out to Starbucks on Richmond Road for donating coffee. Sign-up sheet for contribution can be found at the following link: https://signup.com/go/ogNJNjc We are just looking to fill two more spots!

Immediate need - Bordenball Intramurals

We need parent volunteers to help the coaches provide Bordenball intramurals on Thursdays from 2pm-2:45pm starting Nov 30th and ending Jan 24th (that's 7 opportunities). There was so much student interest for the team tryouts, so the coaches are providing this great opportunity for all kids interested in bordenball! If we get enough parent volunteers, we can share the load so the commitment won't be every week for each parent. Email [email protected] if interested.

Help School (Parent) Council Understand Parent and Students' Interest in Extracurricular Activities

We have created a form to gain an understanding of activities that you as a Broadview parent may have an interest or a capacity to support as well as what your kid(s) might be interested in. Getting kids involved in activities is a big priority for the Broadview Parent Council and we certainly appreciate any support we can get! Keep in mind that support can range from general supervision to skill specific instruction/coaching to accessing equipment. Completing this form is simply an indication of interest areas and potential support capacity but no way does it commit you to anything. From here, when a need arises from the school, we will reach out if your interest matches the school's needs to see if you are still interested. https://forms.gle/YCNEZxUrsf249mRAA

Looking for Parent Speakers!

Teachers need you! Broadview School Council is creating a bank of parents who would be willing to go into a classroom and speak about their experiences, whether it is about your career, or a skill or interest you might have. The teachers have voiced that this would be very beneficial for students to hear real-life examples on topics that are relevant to their classroom learning. If interested, please fill in this form https://forms.gle/3B6ywh2ayb65rXk49, including your contact details, so teachers can reach out to you if they are interested. The information collected will only be shared with Broadview staff.
